## Resetting Your Own Coach PIN

### If You Know Your Current PIN

2. Go to **Settings > Coach PIN**.
3. Click **Change PIN**.
4. Enter your current PIN to verify.
5. Enter your new 4–6 digit PIN.
6. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm.

### If You've Forgotten Your PIN

1. Go to **golf.jkcreative.store/checkin** or the Coach PIN section in Settings.
2. Click **Forgot PIN?**
3. Enter the email address associated with your account.
4. Click **Send Reset Link**.
5. Open the email from **noreply@sessionsforgolf.store** — it arrives within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
6. Click the reset link in the email. Links expire after **60 minutes**.
7. You'll be taken to a secure page where you can enter a new PIN.
8. Enter your new 4–6 digit PIN.
9. Confirm it.
10. Click **Save**.

Your PIN is reset and active immediately.

> **Note:** The reset link can only be used once. If the link expires before you use it, repeat the process from step 1.

## Resetting a Client's Check-In PIN

Individual golfers do not have their own PIN — they use your Coach PIN to access the check-in screen. If a golfer claims they can't check in, the issue is almost always one of these:

- The lesson isn't scheduled for today (check the Schedule)
- The lesson status is Cancelled or Completed (check the lesson record)
- The golfer is entering the PIN incorrectly (confirm the current PIN with them in person)

If you suspect your Coach PIN was leaked and need to change it, follow the "Resetting Your Own Coach PIN" steps above. Once you've set a new PIN, share it with your golfers through your normal communication channel.

## Academy Tier: Resetting Another Coach's PIN

If you are the account admin on an Academy plan and a coach under your account has forgotten their PIN:

1. Sign in as the admin.
2. Go to **Settings > Team**.
3. Click on the coach's name.
4. Click **Reset Coach PIN**.
5. A reset link is sent to that coach's registered email address.
6. The coach follows the email link and sets a new PIN.

Admins cannot view or set another coach's PIN directly — the reset is always done by the coach themselves through the emailed link. This is by design.

## FAQ

**How many times can I request a reset link?**
There's no limit on requests. If your current link has expired, just request a new one. Only the most recently issued link is valid — older links are invalidated automatically when a new one is generated.

**Can I use the same PIN I had before?**
Yes. There are no restrictions on reusing a previous PIN.

**The reset email never arrived. What do I do?**
Check your spam or junk folder first. Make sure you're looking in the inbox for the email address tied to your Session for Golf account. If it's still not there after 5 minutes, request a new link. If the problem persists, email **support@jkcreative.store**.

**I entered the wrong PIN on the check-in screen. Am I locked out?**
No. There is no lockout after failed PIN attempts on the check-in screen. The screen simply clears and allows another attempt.

**Can I change the PIN length (e.g., from 4 digits to 6 digits)?**
Yes. When setting or changing your PIN, you can choose any length from 4 to 6 digits. A 6-digit PIN is slightly more secure.

**What happens to check-in data if I reset my PIN?**
Nothing changes. Past check-in records are stored on individual lesson records and are not affected by a PIN reset.

**A golfer accidentally checked in for the wrong lesson. How do I fix that?**
Open the incorrect lesson record, change the status back to Scheduled, and manually set the correct lesson to Checked In. You can update lesson status from the Schedule tab or from the golfer's Lessons tab.

**I'm on the Starter or Pro plan with one coach. Is there any reason to reset periodically?**
Yes. As a routine security practice, resetting your PIN every 3–6 months reduces risk — especially if your facility has seasonal staff changes or rotating golf course personnel who may have seen the PIN entered.
